Project Overview:
“Did you know?” takes you on a tour around the world and presents three origin stories of currencies from the future. Set in a post-apocalyptic scenario (neither dystopian, nor utopian), the tales explore new possible ways of understanding money in societies starting from scratch.
Inspired with experiments in currencies from the depression era, historical ethnographic accounts on local economies in remote areas, current developments in alternative economies as well as the possibilities ofvirtual currencies, the short documentary questions assumptions and certainties.
